Mendota Heights Has Always Been Home
John Maczko is a lifelong resident of Mendota Heights. He and his wife, Lynne, raised their three daughters here, and his connection to the community extends through decades of family life, public service, and professional leadership.
For John, serving the community has never simply been about holding a position. It has meant showing up, listening to people, solving problems, and taking responsibility for decisions that affect neighbors, families, businesses, and taxpayers.

His professional career in municipal and traffic engineering gave him another perspective: how cities work, how public resources are managed, and how decisions made today can shape a community for decades.

A Foundation for Public Service
John graduated from Henry Sibley High School (now Two Rivers High School) and earned his civil engineering degree from the University of Minnesota. He later completed a mini-MBA at the University of St. Thomas and the Latimer Leadership Program at the Humphrey Institute.
